Family Medicine Residency
Curriculum

The teaching and supervision of family medicine residents is, primarily, the responsibility of the College's large, full-time faculty.  These faculty members staff the Department of Family Medicine--the largest department--and the Departments of Behavioral and Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry/Neurology.  During the three-year Family Medicine Residency, the faculty oversees resident training in both hospital and ambulatory care.  To ensure adequate clinical experiences, a team-oriented call schedule, which leaves residents free for two weekends each month, is arranged.
