Obstetrics and Gynecology for Medical Students (Beckman
and Ling). This is the recommended textbook for this course and is available
in the UAB Bookstore. This textbook follows the APGO
Educational Objectives for medical students and specific chapters from this
textbook will be assigned as pre-requisite reading prior to attending case-based
student lectures.
Solving Patient Problems: Obstetrics/Gynecology (Phelan
and Chiang). This book of case-studies is recommended for use to improve skills
in pattern recognition and clinical problem-solving as well as in preparation
for the OB Gyn oral and written examinations. It is available for purchase in
the UAB Bookstore and there are limited copies available to check-out from the
Student Education Office (NHB 201) through Lisa Ardovino (934-8865).
